Welcome To Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church
We're so Happy You're Here!
2024 Advent & Christmas Schedule
Thanks for visiting our website. We want you to feel at home and comfortable here in our friendly and family-oriented community at Prince of Peace (POP). We are a church that belongs to Christ. What WE believe at POP and the church’s Mission and Vision are shared here.
If you’re planning your first visit, learn more here about what to expect. You can join us in-person or online each Sunday at 10am. We stream our service on Facebook Live.
You will discover many exciting opportunities at POP for fellowship and ministry. Our website is just the introduction to the spirit of our church. All are welcome here – those who believe as well as those who are seeking. We’d love to have you join us for an upcoming service.
Christmas Eve Service - Tuesday, December 24th at 4:00 pm
Join us on Christmas Eve for a traditional service of lessons and carols that tell the whole Christmas story of Jesus' birth. The service is full of our favorite Christmas carols sung by all, including special pieces by the choir. Pastor Craig will have a wee Christmas message, too. Our traditional service concludes singing Silent Night as everyone holds a lit candle as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Welcome to Children's Church and Sunday School!
We encourage all families to add to their Sunday morning worship by coming during the Education Hour to grow in
God’s Word. Taking place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Sunday School helps children explore God’s story through new Bible stories each week. Our lessons include games and activities that allow the kids to form friendships with other children. There are Sunday School classes for all ages starting Preschool age.
Welcome Our Newest Child of God to POP
Would you like to schedule a Baptism?
At Prince of Peace, we believe that God’s grace is for everyone. For this reason, we gladly baptize adults, infants, and children. Infants, children and adults become a part of the Christian community in Holy Baptism, a ritual of word and washing with water. We believe baptism sets us on our faith journey with God.
Baptism is a public event for the whole family of God to celebrate! Baptism services are held on selected weekends during worship service.
If you are considering having your child baptized or if you would like to be baptized, please contact Pastor Craig at corsairfud@yahoo.com or 708-710-8508 or the church office at 630-969-1268 or popwoodridge@gmail.com.
